Jonathan Luks - performer/instructor/producer


Since 1972, Jonathan has performed in, choreographed or directed nearly 50 musicals including:

Kiss Me Kate, Music Man, Damn Yankees, West Side Story, Oklahoma, Pippin, The Sound of Music, Pump Boys and Dinettes, Runaways, Grease, Guys and Dolls, Working, Chicago, Annie Get Your Gun, Hello Dolly and The Fantastics.

Jonathan danced with Brenda Bufalino in The Dancing Theatre Company and tapped a feature spot in the 42nd Street River to River Festival with the American Tap Dance Orchestra.

As an instructor, Jonathan taught in NYC at Dancerschool and Joy of Movement, in Stuttgart Germany at Ray Lynch NYC School of Dance, at Harwick College and owned and operated Delhi Dance and Performing Arts in NY State for 10 years with his wife, JoAnna.

In 1992, Jonathan and JoAnna founded Flying Ship Productions, a professional touring theatre for young audiences. Jonathan has written and composed 11 musicals which have toured the northeast. Flying Ship Productions currently produces almost 300 performances per year.
