STRONG MODERN DANCE TECHNIQUE IS EMPHASIZED!
Students will use contemporary music and visual arts as a springboard for their development of choreography
"studies". Emphasis is on critical thinking, spatial orientation, rhythms and dance technique. Modern dance
combinations, based in alignment, strength, flexibility and coordination are emphasized just as much as
choreography. We are using a floor-based warm-up and progressing into a center and across the floor.

poise at the ballet barre and center. Floor exercises will work on their stretching. Class concludes with creation
of movement based in classical ballet stories: Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Copelia, Giselle and more. We
emphasize musicality and joy of movement.
($280 plus registration $35 FOR NEW STUDENTS)
